Please join us on July 11th, 5-8pm, for SECOND Friday festivities all over downtown WRJ.

Behind the shop, our Parking Lot Party will feature the fine funk & soul grooves of DJ Skar from the loading dock, Jamaican jerk chicken from the Fulla Flava crew and a pop-up of iconic bed sheet paintings, bread & puppets from Bread & Puppet. Come dance and eat and chill with a bunch of artists & non-profit orgs including the Hartford Community Coalition, UV Rise Up and Wise to name a few.

There’s all kinds of other fun First Friday stuff going on around town too! COVER Home Repair they’re open until 7pm and hosting a BYO Instrument music jam.

The Collection is open until 9pm with free refreshments and a 50% OFF Sale. Kishka Gallery & Library showcases the ‘nominally functional’ artwork of David Zackin who recontextualizes ceramic vessels with absurdist humor, text, sculpture and surface illustration. Two Rivers Printmaking Studio hosts an opening reception of new work by book artist and printmaker Carole McNamee with snacks!
Jakob Breitbach & Kit Creeger of the Route 5 Jive roots bop hot jazz revival crew perform at River Roost Brewery, 5:30-7:30pm.
In addition to the Friday evening piano playing of David Fairbanks Ford, the Main Street Museum is hosting an Upper Valley Welcome Wagon. Sponsored by Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation, this is a wonderful opportunity for folks new to the Upper Valley to connect with community members to build connections and make friends!
2nd Friday is also the opening reception of works by artist, Gary Hamel with a collection of ‘D-Garyotypes’ which focuses on images found in thrift shops, yard sales and flea markets.
