May First Friday in WRJ!

Who’s ready for a First Friday reboot?
First Friday, May 7th, the White River Indie Film crew are bringing back the joy of Light River Junction! If you missed it in December, you’re in for a treat.
Throughout the downtown, you’ll find a series of video installations projected on to WRJ buildings as you stroll around to our village’s wonderful restaurants, bars and shops.
Weather permitting, we’ll put a bunch of sale racks behind Revolution for another mini-mega-pop-up-sale.
Rain or shine, Scavenger celebrates their 9th year with jewelry discounts and an opening reception for works by Heidi Smith Bagley titled ‘Will You Stay Long Enough to See Me?’.
WRJ’s dining options are back and better than ever with eat-in and take-out from some of the Upper Valley’s best eateries including Piecemeal Pies, which will be open ’til 8pm on First Friday with pies and cider treats.
We’re thrilled to welcome Nancy The Girl to WRJ business district! Nancy is hosting an open house on First Friday for folks to get a sneak peek at her glamorous vintage showroom in the Tip Top building.
If you haven’t checked out the new art space, Tourist, at 89 South Main Street, be sure to drop in for the opening reception of Salt featuring works by Shaina Gates.
Be sure to stroll down South Main Street to the new location of Gear Again. Bridget’s pilot of an outdoor gear consignment shop was a success, so they’re settling into their permanent location in the old Twin State Typewriter building.
The (timeless) trend of WRJ businesses specializing in reuse, upcycled, antique, used & vintage merchandise is worth noting. We walk the talk of this creative economy with a brilliant mix of sustainable and thoughtful commerce which is far from ‘business as usual’. Please continue to support these efforts and come see for yourself what it is that’s so special about White River Junction, Vermont!
Please also remember that, while vaccines are flowing, the need for masks and social distancing is still necessary. If you are out and about during First Friday festivities, be mindful of capacity limitations for each business. There are plenty of locations to spread out in and we are all looking forward to welcoming you back to our spaces.
